Our Ice Cream

We bring a contemporary twist to good old fashioned American style ice cream, extremely creamy, bursting with flavour, sometimes with inclusions and sometimes without.

But we have a few rules, Jefferson’s laws you could even call them. Firstly, the milk we use must be the best, so it’s organic, every time. Secondly the ingredients must be natural, always. If our ice cream has colour to it, be safe in the knowledge that it was coloured by nature, not some unnatural food colouring.

It must of course be delicious, which comes from a never-ending research of flavours, fabulous ingredients, tasting, tweaking and more tasting (it’s a hard life this ice cream making). Finally, we make it fresh daily in small batches in our Brixton kitchen.

So that’s organic milk, natural ingredients, delicious flavours, made fresh daily with love - surely the only way ice cream should ever be made?

Throughout the year we maintain a group of classic flavours, loved all year around by our amazing customers. In our stores we rotate additional flavours as the seasons change, as well as introducing a monthly guest special (click here for all current store flavours).

When we choose our ingredient partners our criteria is simple - are the ingredients they sell of the highest quality and are they dedicated to providing them in a sustainable way?

  • DAIRY

    Cottleswold Dairy is an independent family dairy producing milk since 1938. They are committed to animal health and welfare, with all farmers required to have Red Tractor Certification. Cows graze naturally on a diet of grass and clover, and choose when they would like to be milked, when they want to feed and for how long they rest – oh to be a Cottleswold Dairy cow!

  • VANILLA

    Vanilla Etc partners are Ecocert accredited and are also Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified. These certifications ensure they are committed to a way of more sustainable agriculture and supply chains.

  • Finest Belgian CHOCOLATE

    Callebaut has been making chocolate since 1911. Through their Forever Chocolate plan they are committed by 2025 to lift more than 500,000 cocoa farmers from poverty, eradicate child labour from its supply chain, be carbon and forest positive, and have 100% Sustainable ingredients in all products.
